Synthesis of nanomaterials with engineered properties for advanced functional applications, Development of antimicrobial nanostructures for biomedical use, Design and fabrication of flexible pressure sensors and energy harvesting nanogenerators, Computational modeling using Density Functional Theory (DFT) to explore Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER) mechanisms, Electronic properties and Local electronic Density of states, Scanning Tunneling Microscopy and Spectroscopy.
Our research focuses on the synthesis and functionalization of nanomaterials with tunable properties for multidisciplinary applications, including novel antimicrobial systems, energy storage and conversion, flexible and pressure sensors, and nanogenerators for self-powered devices. By employing Density Functional Theory (DFT), we investigate the fundamental mechanisms of the Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER), with a focus on optimizing 2D material-based catalysts for efficient green hydrogen production. This integrated approach drives innovation at the intersection of materials science and sustainable technology.
